Terms of Service
Effective from May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the SosseliSOS service. Please read carefully before using the service or registering.
1. Parties and Scope
These Terms govern use of sossilisos.fi, provided by Rorha Oy (Business ID: 3627527-6), trade name SosseliSOS, info@sosselisos.fi. By using the service, especially by registering, you accept these terms in full.
These terms apply to all users:
- Customers: individuals or companies searching for service providers. No registration required.
- Service providers: entrepreneurs who register and list their services. Also subject to sections 5-9.
2. Service Description
2.1 SosseliSOS is a directory, not an intermediary
SosseliSOS is a Finnish online directory connecting customers with local service providers. SosseliSOS is a directory, not an intermediary or party to any agreement. We are not involved in pricing, negotiating or payments between customers and service providers. All contact, agreement and payment takes place directly between the parties.
2.2 Features
- Directory: browsing provider profiles by service type and municipality
- Search: finding providers by keyword and location
- Business profile: publishing company information, services and pricing
- Statistics: profile views and contact events for providers
3. Customer Terms
3.1 Right to use
Customers receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service to find providers. No registration is required.
3.2 Reliability of information
Profile information is entered by service providers. SosseliSOS does not verify all information. Customers are responsible for verifying provider details before entering agreements. SosseliSOS is not liable for service quality, prices, availability or professional qualifications.
3.3 Reviews
Reviews must be based on genuine personal experience, be respectful and truthful. SosseliSOS may remove reviews that violate these terms.
4. Prohibited Use
- Illegal activity or violation of applicable law
- Fraud: false or misleading information, fake profiles or reviews
- Automated data harvesting (scraping, bots) without written permission
- Technical interference or DoS attacks
- Circumventing security measures or the payment system
- Harassing or threatening other users
- Unauthorised advertising of your own or a third party's service
5. Service Provider Registration and Obligations
5.1 Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Legitimate business in Finland
- Valid and accurate contact and business information
- Acceptance of these terms and the Privacy Policy
5.2 Profile accuracy
Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy and currency of all profile information, including services, prices, service areas and qualifications.
5.3 Responsibility for services
Providers are solely responsible for their services and their quality. Providers must hold all necessary permits, licences, qualifications and liability insurance. SosseliSOS does not verify these.
5.4 Credential security
Credentials are personal. Keep your password secure, do not share credentials, and notify us of any suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity through your account.
6. Subscription and Payment

6.2 Launch pricing
During the launch phase, the first registered providers receive the campaign price for their first subscription period. Regular pricing applies from the next billing period. The current pricing is always available at sossilisos.fi/hinta.
6.3 Billing
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Billing is automatic at the start of each period. If payment fails, the profile may be hidden after 7 days.
6.4 Price changes
Price changes are notified at least 30 days in advance by email, effective from the next billing period.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Cancellation
Cancel anytime from the dashboard. Takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Profile data is retained for 30 days after cancellation.
7.2 Refunds
Paid fees are non-refundable. Exceptions: documented outage exceeding 72 hours caused by SosseliSOS, or a billing error. Requests must be submitted within 30 days.
7.3 Consumer right of withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act and EU Directive 2011/83/EU. By activating the service immediately, you acknowledge that this right is lost once the service is fully delivered.
8. Content Standards
Content must be truthful, accurate and non-misleading. Prohibited: false qualification or pricing claims, offensive or discriminatory content, copyright-infringing material, links to harmful sites. SosseliSOS may remove non-compliant content without notice.
9. Plan Limits and Access Rights
Plan limits apply to the maximum number of services and municipalities. If the subscription lapses, the profile is automatically hidden. Data is retained for 30 days then deleted. Downgrading a plan requires removing services or municipalities to meet the new plan limits.
10. Intellectual Property
Service structure, design, code, trademarks and content (excluding provider-uploaded content) are owned by Roope Hakanen or are licensed. Providers retain ownership of their uploaded content but grant SosseliSOS a non-exclusive licence to use it for service delivery and promotion.
11. Service Availability and Changes
We aim for 24/7 availability without guaranteeing it. If we discontinue the service entirely, we give at least 30 days' notice and refund the pro-rata remaining paid period.
12. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is". SosseliSOS is not liable for the customer-provider relationship, indirect damages, or force majeure events. Total liability is capped at 12 months' subscription fees. This does not apply to intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury.
13. Account Termination
Accounts may be closed for material breaches, false information, illegal activity or non-payment. Providers may self-delete from the dashboard or via info@sosselisos.fi. Personal data is deleted within 30 days; billing records retained 7 years.
14. Amendments
Material changes notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Current version always at sossilisos.fi/kayttoehdot.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
Governed by Finnish law. Disputes resolved in Helsinki District Court. Consumers may also use the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi) or EU ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Invalid provisions do not affect remaining terms.
